Jim Jump is the Owner and Director of JumpForward Career Services, a student-focused program designed to help college students navigate career planning with clarity and confidence. With over two decades of experience in higher education, Jim created the Career Smart: Career Planning Guide to provide students with practical tools—like resume writing, interview preparation, and mentorship—while guiding them to develop a personalized career plan before graduation.
Throughout his career, Jim has served in multiple roles across institutions such as Lindenwood University, Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville, and Lewis & Clark Community College. His work as a teacher, recruiter, site director, and advisor has shaped his commitment to making career development more accessible, intentional, and student-centered.
