JumpForward Career Services is looking for professionals in any career field to join our network of Career Contacts. Accessible to those enrolled in JumpForward Career Services, this professional network connects students with experts in various industries to help them arrive at a career decision.
To obtain university onboarding forms, please contact us. Once your request is accepted, we will send you the paperwork to enroll your university.
Shortly after your onboarding is processed, you will receive information on how to access the student portal and log your students in for the first time.
Once your students log in to the Career Services Portal, they will have access to an eight-week instructional course and additional career resources they need to find and pursue their career aspirations.
JumpForward Career Services provides a student-focused approach to career development as soon as the student enrolls in their college or university. The upfront work is to fully explore and define what career direction each student feels best fits them, including eight weeks of instruction that helps them learn techniques for being more career smart.
Since this process can take some time, the student is encouraged to engage with professionals already in their respective careers and can provide feedback to a student until they feel comfortable moving forward on what they think is their best career choice. Once this happens, students get equipped with the best career tools (resumes, interview skills, etc.), including writing their own career plan. The JumpForward process is different because it understands career planning and development are best approached early in the students’ education so that a clearer career path is found and each student can maximize their career potential through the mentoring and coaching process provided to them.
The objective of JumpForward Career Services is to make students career smart. The collective approach of educating, mentoring, and coaching these students can result in their ability to communicate their career ideas in the form of a written career plan. The objective is to not hurry the process, but rather allow each student to explore their career aspirations and ultimately feel more confident and prepared to build on their career idea. The real results will be seeing students write their own written career plans.
Once students complete the Part 1: Career Smart Program as part of their enrollment, they will have access to the Part 2: Career Planning Program and lifetime access to all the additional resources offered through the JumpForward Career Services Portal.
As students are introduced to the JumpForward Career Services, they become familiar with all resources that assist them in career exploration, career planning, and development processes, and understand that these same resources are offered to them for the life of their career! So, if a college student using JumpForward Career Services wants to refocus their career and needs assistance to explore a new career direction and the tools to relaunch their new career direction, they can return to the JumpForward Career Services Portal and have access to the same services they have already become familiar with.
